Solution:
To relaunch the ZDF kids' website www.tivi.de, 21TORR's subsidiary Metropolis AG realised the community area "tivi-Treff". This project expanded our cooperation with the German television station — 21TORR has been managing chats and forums on ZDF’s core platform www.zdf.de since 1997.
The kids' community was designed specifically for the young target group. The top priority was to provide a fun, varied infrastructure that’s easy to operate — while taking important safety aspects into account.
A bespoke registration and authentication process was developed for this project; it also includes the children’s parents. Lastly, a number of moderation options were added to increase editorial and administrative control.
Technical realisation:
Behind the scenes, the flexible community solution developed by Metropolis AG was seamlessly integrated in ZDF's web infrastructure. Close-knit integration in the content management system Imperia ensures smooth transfer of content and administrative parameters. To facilitate community building, the tivi editors can use a wide range of tools to flexibly generate and edit content and templates.
