Privacy Policy
The protection of information relating to you – such as your name, telephone number, email address or IP address (known as ‘personal data’) – is a matter of great importance to us. We therefore operate this website in accordance with applicable data protection laws, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). The following explains how we handle the personal data you entrust to us in this context.
Controller and Data Protection Officer
The controller responsible for the processing of your personal data as described below is 21TORR GmbH, Heinestraße 72, 72762 Reutlingen (hereinafter ‘21TORR’).
You can reach 21TORR’s data protection officer by post, addressed ‘For the attention of the Data Protection Officer’, at the address above, or by email at datenschutz@21torr.com.
Access Data / Statistics / Cookies
When you visit our website, we receive usage data. Each of your accesses to 21TORR’s online offering is stored in a log file. We analyse this data to identify trends and compile statistics. The stored data is therefore used solely to optimise our online offering. Usage data is not linked to your personal data.
Our website also uses what are known as ‘cookies’. Cookies are data records stored by a web server on the end device (e.g. computer, smartphone, tablet) of the user. When our website is accessed again using the same end device, they are sent back either to our website (‘first-party cookie’) or to another website to which the cookie belongs (‘third-party cookie’). The stored and returned information (e.g. the internet browser and operating system used; the domain name of the website from which you came; average time spent; pages visited) enables the respective website to recognise that you have previously visited it using your end device’s browser. When you access our websites, information is automatically collected in anonymous form. This enables us to offer a more effective and improved experience over time, by enhancing content and simplifying usage. The statistical data gathered helps us to improve the performance and appeal of our websites. Personal data beyond the information mentioned above is only stored with your explicit consent.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’ – text files stored on your computer that enable analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transferred to and stored on a Google server in the United States. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google. You can prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link. http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
This website uses the remarketing technology of Google Ireland Limited. This enables users who have visited our online offering to be targeted with personalised, interest-based advertising on other pages within the Google Partner Network. Google uses cookies to display this advertising. These text files are stored on the user’s device and enable analysis of user behaviour for targeted, internet-based advertising.
If you do not wish to receive interest-based advertising, you can object to Google’s use of cookies for this purpose and disable the function on the following page: www.google.com/settings/ads/. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies by third-party providers on the Network Advertising Initiative page: www.networkadvertising.org/choices/. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above.
Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences and Conversion
We use what is known as the ‘Facebook Pixel’ from the social network Facebook, operated by Meta Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, and Meta Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter ‘Facebook’).
Using the Facebook Pixel, Facebook is able to identify you as a visitor to our online offering and target you as an audience for the display of advertisements (‘Facebook Ads’). We use the Facebook Pixel to ensure that our Facebook Ads are shown only to those Facebook users who have shown an interest in our online offering or who display certain characteristics (e.g. interests in particular topics or products) that we transmit to Facebook (‘Custom Audiences’). The Facebook Pixel also allows us to track the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook advertisement (‘Conversion’).
