21TORR meets hauser lacour – courtyard party in Stuttgart

With the merger of 21TORR and hauser lacour, two specialists in their field joined forces – for the digital future of brands and business models. And because an official announcement alone isn't enough to mark the start of a collaboration, both teams met in Stuttgart at 21TORR to get to know each other in a relaxed setting. As it turned out, not only the Frankfurt and Stuttgart teams came together, but also regional culinary specialities from both cities – and they made for an excellent match.

Four men are standing side by side at a table tennis table, whilst the first of them is concentrating as he swings his bat to hit the ball.

There. Here. Together. – an afternoon in the spirit of exchange

When two experienced design agencies meet, three things are guaranteed: great people, curiosity on all sides and a relaxed atmosphere.

Our meet and greet was first and foremost about bringing the people behind both agencies together, creating opportunities to get acquainted and forging personal connections – the foundation for a fruitful exchange in future joint projects. The hauser lacour team had the chance to explore the Stuttgart office on a guided tour with Timo Günthner, and Laurent Lacour gave all TORReros a lively introduction to the work of hauser lacour.

An iMac displaying a rainbow-coloured welcome screen for the event stands on a wooden counter, next to a dark-haired woman in a blazer.
Several people walk towards the camera in a courtyard, laughing, with one person pointing their finger at the camera.
In the foreground, the silhouette of an audience seen from behind; behind them, a speaker in a black t-shirt holding a remote control in front of a presentation screen showing the words "21TORR" and "hauser lacour".
A view of part of the audience, sitting and following a presentation with amused expressions.

We kicked off the fun time with a little warm-up game in the office before seamlessly transitioning into a lively courtyard afternoon – one that settled in everywhere between beer benches and food trucks, graffiti workshops and drinks bars, and, especially as the evening wore on, around the ping-pong table.

To the left of an Airstream food truck trailer in the open courtyard, a long queue has formed with around 12 people waiting for their food.

Just how well Frankfurt and Stuttgart complement each other was clear that afternoon – not only through their shared passion for relay ping-pong or their enthusiasm with spray cans on the canvas, but also in their mutual appreciation for the culinary combination of authentic Swabian Maultaschen and Frankfurt's Grüne Soße – two regional classics that genuinely hold their own even when paired.

On the left edge of the frame, the shoulder and back of a woman's head holding a glass of sparkling wine; to her right, a man standing opposite her, laughing, also with a glass of sparkling wine.

Several people, seen from behind, stand next to an upright artist's canvas and graffiti spray cans, attentively following the instructor.

The evening's showdown ultimately revolved – quite literally – around the table tennis table, where it became clear that both offices had long since stopped playing against each other and, caught up in the spirit of the game, were playing together towards victory. Beyond a bottle of sparkling wine for the relay champion, everyone left this lively evening with one thing in common: a heartening sense of the openness and interpersonal connection between both teams, and anticipation for what lies ahead – joint projects in which we'll put Stuttgart's tech know-how and Frankfurt's brand expertise on the table. A big thank you to hauser lacour for coming to see us – we're looking forward to the return match!
