Scrum-of-Scrum Process for a Phygital App Experience
Maximum efficiency and effectiveness is ensured by development teams working on-premise at BOSCH eBike Systems, organised across company boundaries within a Scrum-of-Scrum process.
The working approach is based on iterative sprints, methodically supported by Design Thinking and validated through intensive user research and user testing – ensuring the smart system performs optimally across drive unit, battery, display and control unit.
The Flow App enables riders to customise and expand their eBike to suit personal preferences and different usage contexts.

Demand-driven scalability for the provider and needs-based modularity for app users: The ecosystem scales across different digital business and service models that can be extended based on user needs. New features and services required in the current context can be downloaded quickly and securely.
eBike updates are installed conveniently and efficiently via Bluetooth, keeping the eBike up to date at all times and continuously extended with new functionality – for example the “ConnectModule” for alarm functionality and smart anti-theft protection.

eBike Alarm
The digital service, as an eBike alarm function combined with eBike Lock, provides comprehensive protection against theft:
Worry-free parking with parking location and security status
Acoustic and visual alarm when the eBike is moved
Tracking function with smartphone notification, controlled via the Flow App
Bike Lock
Via the eBike Flow App, the smartphone acts as a digital key to deactivate the motor support. The simplest anti-theft protection: detection happens automatically via Bluetooth, so the smartphone can stay in your pocket:

While riding, the LED Remote or Mini Remote can be used to safely switch between the Ride Screen and navigation on the smartphone – without taking your hands off the handlebars
