A barrier is a barrier – even if you can’t see it
A red-outlined field signals an error. But what is the error? For sighted users it may be obvious – for people with visual impairments or screen reader users, it remains a mystery. The form doesn’t submit, the user leaves the page without success.
There are other invisible barriers: icon buttons without an understandable description. Videos without subtitles. Text with insufficient contrast against the background. Links without meaningful context (“click here” instead of “download proposal”).

Just one example of many that go unnoticed: this is what digital barriers look like.
Inaccessibility costs more than just audience reach
25% of all people live with an impairment that makes using non-accessible websites difficult or impossible. These are potential customers who can’t reach your products and services.
Add to that hidden costs:
More support requests due to interfaces with barriers
Longer processing times for all users
Lower conversion rates due to complicated processes
Partners with whom we’ve made accessibility the standard for digital products
Not optional extra credit – a genuine business case
Our team of UX architects, UI designers and developers is specially trained to scrutinise accessibility and digital inclusion closely. Because if we don’t deliberately include users, we risk unintentionally excluding them.
Our audit deliberately goes beyond the legal minimum, examining design, technology and content equally. You receive a detailed assessment of the current state and know precisely where to act. And it pays off:
Investing in accessibility creates value for everyone
Expand your audience
Reach 25% more potential customers when your website becomes usable for people with impairments. That means more traffic, more leads, more conversions.
Reduce costs
Accessible websites are easier to use for everyone. Users find what they’re looking for faster. This significantly reduces support requests and saves time and resources.
Leverage SEO benefits
Search engines rate accessible websites more favourably. Clear structure, meaningful alt texts and clean code improve your ranking automatically.
Optimise conversion rates
Accessible user journeys are optimised user journeys. Fewer drop-offs, clearer calls to action, better user experience for everyone.
Increase customer satisfaction
A website that works builds long-term customer loyalty. Positive user experiences create trust and loyalty.
Ensure legal compliance
A large proportion of websites are covered by the BFSG – make sure yours isn’t one of them.
Since June 2025, it’s serious
The European Accessibility Act obliges EU member states to ensure accessibility. In Germany, the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) implements this directive.
In practice, this means: All websites, digital services and documents for end consumers must be accessible since June 2025. How this looks in practice is set out by the internationally recognised standard WCAG 2.2 Level AA for accessible web content.
By the way: the USA is also targeting similar legal foundations with the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). Accessibility is becoming a global standard.
Don’t wait any longer
Reach 25% more customers. Ensure legal compliance. Improve the user experience for everyone.
